| Dear Future or Current Compulink Client,
Thank you for your interest in our new Patient Electronic Health Records. Version 9.0 is expected to go into beta the 3rd Quarter of 2005 and be offered for general release in the 4th Quarter of 2006.
We are all very excited about this update. Our development team has incorporated as many of your suggestions as possible into the new product. The first showing of the product was at the ASCRS meeting in Washington D.C. on April 16, 2005. The positive response has been overwhelming.
This was the 5th year we have participated in the Electronic Medical Record Panel at the ASCRS meeting along with seven other EHR vendors. Several companies we usually see were missing this year and of course there are those who have never been willing to undergo the stress and critique of the crowd. This year's crowd was approximately 400 doctors and administrators. Although we were showing an Alpha product it went very well and we were able to complete the record and produce the appropriate CPT code at the end.
Here is just a brief list of what you can expect from Version 9.0:
- New screen designer with expanded functionality to include jpeg images, drawings and scanned documents directly on the screens, scroll boxes for easy viewing historical data, checkboxes, radio boxes, and much more! No need for costly Setup Fees which many companies charge as you can EASILY create/update your own screens.
- Integrated drawing module allows all images to be stored directly on the patient screen for easy viewing and access. Standard bitmap images can easily be dropped onto the images to populate the appropriate fields in the record as well as create a list of possible diagnosis codes for the encounter.
- Font Color Changes have been assigned as fields are defaulted, brought forward or entered for today. All fields change to black once the record is finalized.
- Integrated Web-based Drug Database provides access for e-prescribing directly to pharmacies and simplifies drug to drug and drug to allergy contraindications.
- User Defined Rules provides automation to populate fields in the record, send e-mails, create action items for staff, fax a referral letter, create a warning and more!
